Toddler Parties

My daughter will be 3 in June and Id like to have a fun party for her. The last two mainly were just family because we really dont have a lot of friends with children. I now have her in daycare but I dont know how parents that dont know us will feel about coming to a birthday party for a kid, or parent they dont know. Im trying to figure out how other parents meet and have other kids for friends for their children. I hope that made sense. Any who. Id also like some ideas for some places to throw a fun party for toddlers, other then chucky cheeses. They are expensive and too crowded.

What can I do next?

There is a great website www.birthdaypartyideas.com that has wonderful ideas from simple to complex for at home or at a park...I've gotten lots of fun game and food ideas from them...

I'm not sure how much it costs, but Little Village Play Place in Arlington Heights does B-day Parties. It's really fun, just look up the name on line.

Elk Grove Pavilion has a lot of different party rooms based upon what your child is into. We had our daughters 2nd b-day there. It was lots of room and lots of fun for everyone. We had a Carousel Party.

Hello-Have you considered asking your daughter's school about having her party there? They might let you bring in some games, decorations, etc. and have the party after nap time. This way you don't need to worry about the whole parent situation, plus kids tend to be better behaved with their teachers around. You might also check with McDonalds. Some restaurants have great play areas and it is not too crowded or expensive. Local parks are also a good place, some even have covered areas with tables.
