Toddler Board Games
I want to get some more board games for my boys, ages 6 and 2 1/2. We enjoy Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Sequence for Kids, Mouse Trap, various bingo and memory games, card games, Guess Who, Monopoly Junior, Connect Four, Dominoes. I just bought Trouble for my 6 year old for Christmas (and am open to any other recommendations). I definitely need some ideas for my toddler. The only games he can play by the rules are Candyland, bingo, and Go Fish. The others we modify for him. I see so many choices at the store and would love to have your input as to which ones might be fun (and educational/developmental in some way would be a great bonus).

My kids love, "Pop Belly" and "Walk the Dogs". They are 5 & 7 years old. I bought them from Simply Fun - they are online and you can have a party at your home too. They also have videos online to see how the games are played!! My kids also love Mexican Train Game which is educational and fun. It is at toy stores.

We received Balloon Lagoon as a gift and my kids have loved it. We also enjoy Sorry, and Sorry with dice (I am not sure what it is called but you just roll dice and match the colors,)Charades for kids (they have some picture cards so non-readers can play), Cootie is also a favorite but the little pieces are tricky. Other than that it looks like you have them all covered. Pretty much until they turn the corner at 3 yrs. old, they are more interested in crashing things and don't have the patience to sit through an entire game.

Simply Fun (www.simplyfun.com) has some really great games. I love 'Walk the dogs', 'The Crazy Zoo', and 'AARGH!'. I have a 6 yr old, 4yr old and a 2 1/2 yr old and they can all play these games. These are all learning, educational type of games. They also have some super fun games for adults or older kids too.

Flip Flop Faces & Roll n' Play are really good ones for this age group.
You can get them from Discovery Toys Inc.
Here is a link: http://www.discoverytoysinc.com/
You'll then need to select USA from the red SHOP ONLINE tab (drop down menu on the top of the page) & then from the next page find the drop down menu for GAMES (upper right) & then select an age group.
Have fun playing games with your boys!

Memory (you can reduce the number of cards you put out to match, start with 12 cards and increase the number as he gets the hang of the game) and Hi-Ho Cherry-O are great games. We also love the I Spy puzzle game, and they make a variation of Go Fish that uses I Spy pictures, too. Good luck!
