I have accidently spilled Super Glue on the countertop. Does anyone know how to get rid of this mess without damaging the coutertop?
Thank you in advance for your advice!

I would put ice on the glue to try to make it more brittle, then lightly tap with a mallet. Nothing too hard that would crack the counter.

Be careful if you have special coatings or don't want your items damaged in the process of removing the Super or Krazy glue. Acetone or Nail polish remover is recommended by the manufacturer but may damage your item as well.
If it is a glass or a shiny surface I would try scraping with a razor blade. Remember eyeglasses may have coatings that will be damaged.
For fabric let the glue dry then try to crumple it out.
Super Glue/Krazy Glue aka cyanoacrylate, may have a chemical reaction with many substances and actually becomes part of it. That is one of the reasons why it works so well.

I have heard that non acetone fingernail polish remover works.

K., did you use full strength Sol-U-Mel? That would work great! Just saw this, so I'm sure you've either gotten it out or moved...LOL

Nail Polish Remover gets almost everything out! If it's a finished or shiny surface, I don't think you have to worry. I've used it on my countertops (not shiny but finished surface) and no damage. I've always used it on bathroom sinks.
