If you have a dish washer they sell racks to hold all of the small parts for the bottle (nipple, rings, etc.). I put the baby's bottle and accessories in the dish washer every night and I never had a problem. Munchkin makes a wonderful rack that holds the nipples (up to 14 of them) in slots in the lid to hold them upright for a better cleaning. I used this one and let me tell you, I was able to wash all parts of the Dr. bottles in there for 8 bottles and everything came out clean. I actually used to put the vent system thru the upside-down nipple rings to make more space. The rubber part of the vent system used to pop into the slots in the lid with the nipples.

A lot of the new bottle brushes out now have a small nipple brush on the end of them. You may not realize its there because its tucked inside, but they work wonderfully to get the dried milk out, They also work great on the lids for sippy cups.
Good luck!!

I boil mine if they won't come clean with a gentle brush scrubbing.
Nipples often become old and discolored and need replacing.
I just had to supply my sitter with new ones for that very reson.

I used to turn the nipple inside out and clean it that way.

Either get a nipple brush, usually on the tail end of the bottle brush. You can get it at Babies R Us or Buy Buy Baby. Or just go and buy new ones. After my son finishes his bottle I immediately rinse with hot water and a little anitbacterial dish soap and let sit until I do the dishes for the night.
Good Luck...

PS Dont poke the brush through the nipple hole it will rip the nipple!

use the little brush, scrub it tough, and then put it in the freezer.
