This Pregnancy Seems to Be Worse Sooner.

I am only 7 weeks pregnant, and this one seems to be much worse much sooner. With my first, I did not start morning sickness until around 10 - 11 weeks, and I didn't show until around 12. I also only cramped for about a week right at 5 weeks. This one already has me sick in the mornings, the cramping is still horrible! and I am already noticably pregnant -- about the size I was at 3-4 months with my first. Obviously its not the baby I'm seeing, just water/bloating -- which makes it a little embarrasing that Im showing already. Anyone else experienced more exagerated symptoms w/ 2nd? Zofran is helping the nausea some this time (did nothing for me last time), but this cramping completely drains me. I would compare it to 6 cm contractions.

What can I do next?

Every pregnancy is different. You might be carrying twins. I always showed early,I was in maternity clothes at 2 mos. but I was really skinny when I got pregnant. i would not think the pain is normal and would see a Dr. as soon as possible.

Yes, I experienced pregnancy "symptoms" earlier with #2 (and #3). I remember my doctor saying that was pretty typical because you're body has already been there so it knows what to do! Didn't have any cramping, though . . . but lots of heartburn with #2! I had morning (afternoon and evening) sickness with all 3 although the 3rd time was the most mild.

My morning sickness was 5 times worse with my sencond pregnancy then my first. I had to go on Zofran as well and felt completely worthless my first and most of my secnd trimester. I didnt have any cramping with either though. All i can say is hang in there and ((HUGS))

Just gave birth a week ago to our second daughter and everything was a bit more intense the second time. It's because the body has "been there, done that."
However, don't believe that your cramps are normal. They might be, but has your doctor ruled out an ectopic pregnancy yet? If not, I would recommend getting seen as they are pretty serious.

yeah my second pregnancy was the worst one for me. I don't know why but it was. Like with my first I didn't get sick until around week 8 or 9 and I only threw up about 5 times total. But with my second I was sick from week 5 to week 15! and I threw up every day! It was awful. Now with this pregnancy I was sick for week 6,7 and 8 but never threw up and now I'm 19 weeks feeling great! So just remember all pregnancies are different and you will have different symptoms this time around. I am a little worried about your cramping though. Have you been to a doc yet? It's normal to have cramping but if they are really bad or making you double over then that is not good and you should call your doc.

OH YES! :)

With my first, I was never sick, and didn't show until about 16 weeks.

With my second, I was super sick from 7 weeks - 12, and I was visibly pregnant at 10 weeks. Full on belly and maternity clothes.

The second time around, the muscles are a lot more stretched out already, so it doesn't take much for the belly to pop out quickly. Any extra weight, no matter how small, will cause things to pop out.
It's totally normal. Maybe you're having a different sex of baby? Just a fun guess.
My first was a boy, second was a girl.

Hang in there, it'll be back to normal in a few weeks.

Yep, everything starts earlier the second time around. But in my case, some of it went away earlier, too (like the nausea). Good luck.

My first pregnancy was a breeze! I barely had morning sickness, and only for a couple weeks. I felt great most of the pregnancy, though I was tired.

The 2nd one.... I had horrible morning sickness. I could only take the Target brand prenatal vitamins immediately before bed on a full stomach, and had to take vitamin B6 throughout the pregnancy (helps with nausea). Any other brand of prenatals (including all the script samples my dr gave me) made morning sickness much much worse. And if I took them any other time of day made it worse.

I also started showing almost immediately! I was only about 4-5 weeks pregnant when I started wearing maternity pants, since I could no longer button my regular jeans. My dr said it's because your uterus remembers it needs to stretch out for the baby so it does it sooner (or something like that, I don't remember exactly how he put it).

I also had severe hip pains, so bad that I couldn't walk at times. I think I asked more questions with my 2nd pregnancy than I did my first, b/c it was soooo different! I was convinced I was having a girl since the pregnancy was complete opposite from my first, but nope, I have 2 boys. But they are vastly different, both in looks and temperament (sp?). Now I know what people meant when they said every pregnancy is different!
