I am not a Thirty One salesperson. I hate all of the MLM schemes. I also think their stuff is overpriced and not super nice.

I cannot stand any of those MLM businesses. I don't think they are very profitable for many people and I know most people I know do not like to be bugged by "friends" to buy their products.

If you need extra money, be creative, sell something handmade on Etsy or re-sell stuff on Ebay. You can look into drop shipping on Ebay as well or find a way to market a skill you have or can develop. I really believe you will have more success and make more money over the long haul by doing your own thing then getting into the whole MLM thing.

It is the same as all the other MLM businesses. You sign on, you recruit, you pressure people to have parties, you pressure people to sign up under you so you can maybe maybe make a buck.

If you are into MLM which you can tell I hate every aspect of it.... at least do it with something that people will repurchase. You only need so many purses and lunchbags.

If you are ok with high pressure sales and recruiting then it might be for you. I know when they start selling at the school, etc it gets old and we tend to avoid the people constantly selling.

Instead of numerous invitations (invoices) to a party, I'd rather just give you a donation.

i have a scetnsy business. i don't pressure anyone to ever join my team or pressure anyone to buy. i don't make alot but i like the product and use the product. but it's also a refillable item. and that's one reason why i sell it. you use the wax and need to replenish the supply. in any of these kinds of business you get out of it what you put into it. i'm in it for the fun and love getting together with friends. in fact i had a party at my house for scentsy. and several friends came over just to socialize and eat food....

I don't know anything about the specific business but basically it's a purse party and I would not attend. I buy my purses on clearance usually for $5 or less. Or I can just make my own.

I don't get the need to have purses or shoes that cost more than my first car.

It's a sales job. If you don't mind constantly recruting new hostesses and marketing to your friends and family, then you'll probably do well.

One negative I heard was that they change catalogs to often thus to keep current you have to keep buying the new bags to display at the parties. Despite this I have a friend who does it and seems to really like it.

I am a consultant and LOVE it! I am a SAHM and signed up 2 years ago because my husband was deploying. I wanted/needed something to get me out of the house a few nights a month (my boys were 5, 2, and 5 months at the time). The extra money is nice, but I like the discount the best:) I love how you can do as little or as much with your business.

I will PM you!

It's the same as any of these other businesses like Scentsy or whatever. You really only make money if you sign other people up to sell the bags too. It's called a pyramid scheme. Otherwise, once you've exhausted your list of friends, and probably annoyed them all with wanting to sell bags all the time, it's not as easy to find people to have parties.

I have two friends who have Thirty One businesses. They have a lot of fun with it. They've both expressed that it's hard to hit up all your friends, coworkers, acquaintances, etc. to host a party but if you can get over that -- and not lose friends in the process -- you can make a nice amount of extra spending money. My first friend is a stay at home mom and she works really hard at doing Thirty One, asks everyone she knows to host, talks about it a lot, posts on Facebook about it, and has a website to promote her business. I personally think it's a bit annoying because I'd rather just talk to her about life, not get hit up to host a party for bags I don't want to buy, but she understands and doesn't pressure much. My other friend works outside the house and does Thirty One on the side. She probably only does a party every month or so. They have both said that something like this only works if you have a large group of people that you know, preferably from a lot of different places so they have lots of people that they know too. And your friends need to have disposable income.
