Hi moms,
Iam thinking about getting a doorway jumper for my son. Are they safe? Has anyone used them before? Can any one recommend a brand or something similar to use.
Thank you,
C.

I agree with Devon P. I also have the Fisher Price Jumperoo and my daughter loves it.

My sons loved the Jumperoo from Fisher Price, its a stationary one that sits on the floor. Seemed to be a little safer to me, I guess I was afraid that the door one might fall down, but I dont know :-)

C.,

I had a doorway jumper for my middle son and it definitely is not a good idea. If your little one gets too excited he could bang his hang or squish a finger and that is not a good feeling as a mother to know that you put him there. Go with the jumperoo.

Good Luck.

Hi C.,

My 9 month old has LOVED loved loved his Deluxe Jumperoo that we got for the baby shower. It really takes a beating. He jumps as hard as he possibly can and it takes it. It isn't a doorway jumper but a stand alone type. The frame is made to be super safe and supportive so there's no way he would ever tip or bang himself on anything. I highly recommend it. Id offer to sell you ours but he's still developing his quads in it hahaha, Seriously we do think that his strong legs come from all that jumping.

Hi C.,

My friend has the doorway jumper and barely ever used it, she got bored... We have the jumperoo and when Banyan was Maurice's age he loved it (now he doesn't want to go in it because he'd rather be crawling).. I recommend the jumperoo over the doorway jumpers...

We had a doorway jumper for our now 22 month old daughter. She enjoyed it. The only problem was that with a newer home, most doorways do not have the molding required to hang one. (I had to use it upstairs in the spare room/hallway.) So it didn't get used much ~ that's okay, we'll use it again for #2!
I'm not sure if you can get them here... I bought her Jolly Jumper (brand name) in Canada when I went to visit my parents last year. You could probably check online to see availability. I know my Mom had one for us when we were kids!
