Thermometer Recommendations - Cedarburg,WI
I'm looking for some recommendations for a thermometer to use for my daughters. My 4 year old still doesn't get the idea to keep the thermometer under her tongue and it's nearly impossible to get a reading under her armpit. I am looking to buy a temporal one. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good one (with an accurate reading)?
Thanks for any suggestions!

The Braun Thermoscan is pretty good. It's not a temporal, it's a tympanic one, so it goes in the ear. It sells at Target for $40. Good Luck!

I have the Exergen temporal scanner. I love it. It's acurate and gets a temp in seconds!

Exergen. I had to chart my son's rectal temp when he was a baby for a study and I compared with the Exergen to see how accurate it was. Never off by more than .1 degrees.

If you want a accurate reading...well...I wouldn't get the Exergen one.
I have it. I hate it.
I get a different reading each time.
If your kid is sweaty/clammy it sticks to their forehead.
I would look into the Braun kind...I hear good things about those.
HTH!

I have the Exergen temporal one. We like it. We have been more successful with this one than any other one that we have tried.

If you belong to Sam's Club you can get the Exergen model for $25-30 and it works well.
