Theme Ideas
My sister is having a party for my 8 year old niece this month and she wants me to help her put together a theme. She is having the party at a pizza place, wants the kids to dress in bright colors and have on silly outfits or add fun style to their outfits so she can do a photo shoot. My niece will send out invitations with a picture of her self autographed. She thought of VIP party but I'm having a hard time trying to put all this together (goody bags, decor, how to word the invites) Any ideas?

I love the Hollywood VIP idea! You could get sunglasses for all the kids, feather boas for the girls, maybe make name tags for everyone and give them cool nicknames by using a word that rhymes with their name or starts with the same letter like "trendy Tina" or "Rad Brad".
Find invites with stars on them and invite them to the "hollywood party for the stars".
Here are some sites where you could order the party costumes and supplies for reasonable prices!

What about a disco theme? My sister did one for her daughter and it was SO cute!!! Everyone wore bright clothes and the high tube socks and all. Too Funny and Cute!!! The plates and stuff even had disco balls on them. The goodie bags had those cute plastic sunglasses, beaded necklaces, big rings. TOO Cute Stuff!!! The kids loved it.

Wow! So is it a "fun style," "VIP," "Hollywood" party? You could look for stuff with those old style movie reels on there. And make print out of the cameras and you can rent out small spot lights to have running or just for display. You might also be able to incorporate musical notes; like for the table clothes, if you can't find anything. Goody bags wouldn't be any different, kids just want candy! As far as the invites you could just choose a line from one of her favorite movies or just put come celebrate with "___" on her birthday and be in a photoshoot!
Good luck!
