The Right Place for a B-day Party

Hi..My daughter turns 1yr. old in a month & I want to give her a b-day party, but nothing to grown up. What is a great place to have a b-day party for a 1yr. old? I was thinking Chuck E Cheese, but are there are lots of older children there. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

I got turned off at Chuck E Cheese when they started selling alcohol at some of their locations.

What about a nice day at the park with cake & ice cream (we love the ice cream cakes from Thom Thumb). We still do that for our 4 & 2 yr old and they love it.

I think Chuck E Cheese would be way too much for a 1 year old. Ultimately, she is not going to remember this. Have nice small party with family and take lots of pictures so that she can relive it that way and know that she is loved.

For 1st birthdays we had parties at home or at the park if the weather was nice. We only invited family and a few close friends, served cake and ice cream and let the birthday girl open her presents.

I'd stick to something simple for her 1st birthday. As she gets older you can have parties at places like Chuck E Cheese, The Little Gym, Bounce Houses, etc. For my son's 1st birthday we just had a few of his play mates over, served finger foods, and of course, cake and ice cream. Take lots of pictures to serve as memories, since she's too young to remember!

Have you looked into Pump It Up Jr in Plano. It seems to be geared for the little ones. Plus it's a private party so you don't have to worry about alot of kids. Also try the Little Gym. At this age I would keep it pretty simple. I had a party at the house with family and close friends. We just set up some little pools and cooked out. My son loved it!
The one party I went to Chuck E Cheeses, was crazy. I vowed to never have a party there. LOL But for her age I would say it would be too much. The tables are so close together and your daughter wouldn't be able to really run around and have fun. Plus it will be hard for you to "host" and keep up with her too.
