I have been reading al lot about the new HCG diet craze. 40 pounds in 40 weeks! Sounds great. You can do it by shots or oral solution. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?

i have done it twice. I researched it for two months first then went for it. I mixed it myself and did the drops. First time was 40 day round I went from 188 to 164.8. This was Aug 09 - Sept 09. I just did it again. Feb 2010 - March 2010. This round I went from 164.8 to 144. I havent been 144 in 10 years. I have 3 daughters age 5 and twin 3 year olds and I am 28. I hope this helps.

I started Weight Watchers 7 wks ago and have lost 14 lbs w/ 30 more to go. My family loves the food and I keep a few of their snacks on hand so they don't feel deprived. I haven't been hungry once and I have replaced some of my old fav's w/ healthy low fat/high fiber choices so I really don't feel like I am missing out. If I have a day where I just really want to nibble, and other family obligations keep me from taking a walk or some other activity than I chose to honor it w/ healthier food choices (whole graing chips and salsa/fruit/pretzels etc).
Bottom line: they helped me put the missing pieces together.

Note: Over the last year I had already been making a lot of healthy food changes (increase fruits and veggies) and added more exercise into my life and I was losing some inches but not any weight. I know those changes are helping me be more successful now.
Good luck w/ whatever healthy weight loss program you chose.

I tried the HCG along with B12 Shots for 1 month and didn't loose a lb, although I did have more energy from the B12. The only thing that happened was my cycle lasted 10 days. I finally went to the doctor and was perscribed Phentermine for 3 months. I lost 30 bls and have kept it off for over a year.

Try weight watchers. I do it and love it! You can get the materials on Ebay and not attend any meetings if you don't want to. I don't. I lost 3 or so pounds the first week and every 7-9 days thereafter I lose two. Also, online you can find the points for every food item. Just type in Weight watchers points for....and you'll find it. You'll need to buy the slider and the book from Ebay. Slider is extremely helpful and the book has basic food item points and tells you your points range now and as you lose weight. It's a great diet cuz you don't know your dieting. Good Luck!

I don't know about that diet sorry! But you know 40lbs in 40 weeks is very regular weight loss, some people can actually lose more than that in that amount of time. I tried hydroxycut a while back and it made be feel sooooo bad now I find out that it is being pulled from the market because it can totally jack your liver up. So I think I am going to stick to the old fashioned way from now on:) I am pregnant now, but after the baby I am going to try Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer. It is a workout plan of 10 minutes per day and it comes with an eating plan. If you want to check it out you can look it up online he is pretty well respected for giving results with his programs. Good luck!
