We're looking at preschool options for our son, who will be 3 for the 2011-12 school year. Does anyone have any information, thoughts, opinions to share about The Goddard School in Keller? Any other suggestions for child care/preschool in the Keller area?

I've heard mixed reviews about the Goddard School. It depends on what kind of environment you prefer. Studies have shown that children in preschool tend to learn more effectively from a play based program vs. academic. Another similar school that is a bit more play based but still has a new facility with a computer lab, pool, library, gym, etc is Good Beginnings in NRH. Their teachers all have college degrees and several have teaching certifications too. Its on Davis Blvd. across the street from Target. Good luck!

We have two friends that send their kids there (3 1/2 & 4) and they both love it. We used Children's Lighthouse on Shiver and were pleased, but the friends who go to Goddard moved there from Lighthouse and like it much better.

My daughter goes there for preK. It is very play based! We have been very impressed with the teachers and staff. The lead teachers are certified like at other high quality schools. In fact my daughters lead has a Master's degree in education! I have a million great things to say about them! As a Kindergarten teacher myself I was very picky with my daughters pre-school and Goddard has made me very happy. I would go visit a few of them. You will know what feels right. I visited at least a half dozen and took a list of questions with me when I went. Best of luck.
