You can take a styrofoam ball and roll it in glue and then roll it in glitter. You have to let it sit for about twenty four hours, then with different color construction paper cut them to look like feathers. Write what things you are thankful for on each feather and then decorate them with glitter or whatever.
After the ball is dry glue them to the ball.
And then glue those little floater eyes to the front. It is really cute and a good centerpiece for the table.

You can buy one of those straw wreaths and a few different patterns of fabric, which you cut into medium size squares. Lay a square on the wreath and with the chopstick punch the fabric square through the center into the wreath. Do it over and over until it becomes full. It turns out really nice and you can do it for Thanksgiving or Christmas just get different colored fabric.

Don't forget about hand turkeys!! - you know, trace the childs hand, make the thumb the head and the other four fingers feathers. Let them color however. We make these every year and save them. I hang them in the dining room on some red yarn. It's great to see how big their hands have grown now that they are 6 and 8, we started when they were 2 and 4! Go out and collect some beautiful leaves and glue onto cardboard or paper for a fall collage.

Mom, go to Familyfun.com and ck out their ideas, they are a Disney owned magazine with an awesome magazine Family Fun. Their web-site is wonderful too. In addition just Google "preschool thanksgiving crafts" and click on i"mages" not web for your search. You will find lots of cute holiday craft ideas. I teach children , age 3-5yrs old and get some great ideas this way for all holidays. Have fun.
