Thanks for All ofSocks
I was folding laundry today & thought I'd ask some questions about socks. I think its time to toss out ALL of my socks & get new ones. I have a lot of socks, and they are all stretched & worn out!
My question is, what are your favorite socks? I always have the worst time trying to find socks that I like & fit me well. I wear shoes anywhere from women's size 6 to 8 1/2, but mostly around 8. But, socks always seem like they are too big for my feet. They stretch out and stay loose on my feet. I hate that!
What do you ladies suggest?

Thanks for all of the ideas! We went to the PX the other day & I found girls' Adidas socks. It's jsut 3 pairs, but I like them so far. Will have to try some of the others as I find them!

I agree with a few of the others. Go to the girls department. I wear a size 7 shoe and I find most socks getting baggy after I remove my shoes when I get home. I have been wearing hanes sport sock from the girls area. Also with the blue on the heel and toe it's easy to find in the pile of clean socks!

My husband bought me nike and addidas socks. I love em'! They do not stretch out and feel good on my feet. I also like the peds ankle sock for summer. Hope this helps.

Gold Toe brand socks are THE BEST! They stay snug, are comfortable, and they last forever. You can buy them at department stores like Dillard's or Belk Simpson. They are a better deal to buy them in a package rather than singles, and they aren't cheap but very well worth it! For women like me with larger feet (11's), they come in larger sizes, too. I hope this helps!

Try on a size smaller than the package says you ware. Most packages have a zipper seal on them so you can try them on. We just bought socks for our boys & it is nice to be able to try socks on (or at least measure them up to their feet).

My 6 year old daughter is extremely picky about her clothes and insists on Hanes every day although she has tons of other socks... She says they fit better than any of the others.

I wear a size 6-6 1/2 and I have found that my 9 year old's socks fit me the best! I like tight socks too. Look in the little girl's section. lol!

I wear size 5 1/2 shoes and have always bought kid's socks. You would certainly benefit from buying socks smaller than the package recommends. I too want a fitted sock and not extra in the toe or heel. You might want to try kid's socks. I wear hanes kids socks for tennis shoes. etc. I bought tall socks for boots, etc at gap in the xs small size or i shop gap kids. I still buy dress socks in adults but again size it to smallest available.
Hope this helps.

I personally like socks from Hanes, Bath & Body Works, and JC Penny's. It's important to spend a little more for socks even if you can only buy a few pair at a time. Cheap socks wear out faster and are made cheaper, which is why they fall apart, wear out, and stretch so fast. Quality over quantity. It may cost a bit more over the long run but it's worth it when you look at the big picture.
