I was wondering if anyone new of a place to take pictures in the blue bonnets. I have seen some cute pictures that way and was wanting to get some with my little girl in them.

What can I do next?

Ennis, TX is the bluebonnet capital of Texas. It is a bit of a drive but well worth it! Here is a link to updates on bluebonnets as well as information on their festival!

I have also heard that corporate JC Penneys offices in Plano have great bluebonnets.

Hi H.,

My parents live out past Wylie on HWY 78 and on my way out there the other night I passed a park area that was covered in bluebonnets. It's perfect for pics! I was very excited to find it. From George Bush exit onto HWY 78 (take the second exit heading towards the mall). You'll go through Sasche and Wylie. It's about 15-20 minutes or so out. You'll go past the Wylie Walmart and it's still a little way down, but it will be on your left. You won't miss it.

I know an awesome photographer who knows where to find the bluebonnets! Clarine Smith Photography, ###-###-####. She's good friends with the owners of a company that specializes in bluebonnet marketing so I KNOW she is the perfect match for you & your daughter!

Ditto for Zion Cemetary! We drove by there today to look at them, but didn't have time to take pictures. I go there every year for a romantic picnic with my hubby, and I am really looking forward to taking my daughter's pictures there this year!

It is on the Eastern side of FM 423 north of Little Elm and The Colony, but south of 380. It is a little bit north of Eldorado.

I also saw people taking pictures just outside the DFW airport in a large patch there. And there were other people taking them off the side of I635 as I was heading back to Carrollton. But the patches there weren't as big, and you'd end up with lots of traffic and buildings in the background.

So go to Zion Cemetary for some wonderful scenic shots!

There is a field with a bike trail running through it that we have taken our Son to for the past several years at Custer just North of Spring Creek and have been able to get some precious pictures there! I haven't been by in the last week to see if they are blooming but if you are headed North on Custer you will pass Spring Creek and it is right there on your right just past the little strip mall. Blessings, J.
