I have one from Costco. Love it! My little guy even knows to stay still when I'm using it. We were recently at the Dr.'s office, and they use the same one! It was a little tricky getting used to holding the button while scanning across the head, but I've got the hang of it now. Good luck!

I also got mine at Cosco. I've double checked the accuracy by using the rectal thermometer right after and it is pretty "spot on" as long as you do it correctly. : )

We have the exergen one, and LOVE it! So easy to use, and it actually gets an accurate read-out. Our pediatrician switched to using the same one.

LOL. I swere I own every single type too!!! we have the temporal one and we like it the best. it is the only one that my DD will let us use on her matter of fact she lets us do it several times, we usually do it three times just to be sure as w/ those they do read diff. each time so if you think they are very sick I guess it would not be the best way to go, but it is great to just do a check.

I swear by the ear ones....we tried a Temporal Thermometer a few years ago and it was HORRIBLE!!! Very inaccurate and hard to use. They may be better now, but I had such a rotten experience I won't give them another shot.

the temporal was sooo bad, for me. i'd use it then use the ear one (braun thermometer) and the temporal was off by a couple of degrees. i just use the braun one (ear thermometer). lasts me 1-2 years, and is pricey but well worth the price. my junky temporal thermometer ended up in trash can as soon as i bought it, it seems.
