Teething Solutions? - Punta Gorda,FL
My daughter is 14 months old and has a TERRIBLE time with teething. I have tried everything.....teethers, motrin, ice, wet cloths, teething tablets, oragel...... Just looking for other remedies from mom's that i could try. This is my third child and i never had teething problems this much with my other two. I am desperate and will try anything that works! :)

Sounds like you have tried it all! Yikes! Maybe you could give her a popsicle that way she can sort of gum it while it's freezing her gums? She might like a little treat especially if she's feeling so crummy!
You can get a few different brands with little or no added sugar, so you don't have to worry about that!

my daughter loved to chew on a wash sloth that i had wet and put in the freezer. just take it out before it gets too frozen because it can get sharp edges on it. make sure and ring it out before you put it in there.

I have used 2 different homeopaths with my daughter when NOTHING else worked, and saw remarkable results. One was Chamomilla when she was hitting, biting, or had that "angry" kind of pain. The other was Pulsatilla when she had the clingy, whiny, "pathetic" type of pain. Sometimes I used both at the same time because she was in that much pain. You can get them at most health food stores, just ask someone who works there what is the dose for your baby's weight. Both remedies are found in teething tablets, but they work soooo much better when you give them the more concentrated dose of the homeopath. They come in little tubes, you can give them one or two pellets every 15 minutes or so if you need to. It was rare that it even took that much for my daughter. And she would sprout 4 - 5 teeth at a time.
Good luck...

Hi A.,
I agree with Erin and Tori, and would suggest that you get the teething gel, or teething tablets from the Natural Food Store, from the Homeopathic section.
You can order these online if there are no Natural Food Stores nearby.
Giving a sugar free popsicle is also a good idea.
Good thing about Homeopathy is that it has no side effects and is gentle on our body. I used it for our son, when he was teething, it helped tremendously and made that time easier for him to cope with pain.

My Mom had me rub vanilla on the girls gums a few times a day. Believe it or not but it really made a difference. We never had any teething problems at all.

When my daughter was a baby - I found these little tiny tablets either at Publix or Walmart. They came in a little plastic tube/bottle and I think that they were called "Teething tablets". They disolved almost immediately after putting them in her mouth and they worked like a charm! If I remember correctly - I think it was Walmart where I found them, and I can't remember if it was in the baby section or in HBA - but I THINK they said something like "all natural" on the label as well. All I remember really is that they WORKED!

I used a Baltic Amber teething necklace for my daughter. I do believe it helped her. It's not for chewing or sucking on. The amber when warmed against the body releases a natural chemical into the body that's like an analgesic. It looked absolutely adorable on her too. The lighter the amber, the better the effects. I learned out it on thebabywearer.com and they all recommended this website to purchase from. (I'm not affiliated with them) http://hyenacart.com/inspiredbyfinn/
You can read more on why they work on that website too.

I am in the same boat. My 6 month old is having a horrible time teething. She already has 2 bottom teeth and it has been so hard for her where my 3 year old was a fairly easy teether. For my older one, teething tablets & the occasional infant Motrin did the trick. I just tried a new formula for my little one and they seem to be helpful. It is also made by Hyland's so it is also homeopathic like teething tablets. It is Hyland's Camilla. They are like little water viles you squirt into their mouths. My pediatrician recommended it and you can get it health food stores. I just tried it yesterday and she went the whole day & night without any other medicine.
