I took very clean baby washcloths, wet them, ring them out a bit, roll them up and put them in the freezer for a while. My kids loves to chew on them, sucking the freezing water out, and numbing their gums for a while. It really seemed to give them relief.

Infant Motrin or Advil always worked better for my kiddos when they were teething than Tylenol.

Also, get one corner of a washcloth wet, and then freeze it. You can wrap that corner with an elastic if you wish. Once it is frozen let baby chew/suck on it. Frozen bagels can also be soothing for chewing on.

Hyland's teething tabs and teething gel have been life savers for us. I keep the tabs everywhere so I am never without. Since he has teeth on the top and bottom now, I have stopped using the gel, but early in the process it was great.

I fill one of those mesh food bags like Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder with frozen fruit - canteloupe and peeled apples seem to be the favorites. And baby Tylenol here too!

Baby Motrin works better than tylenol because it takes the swelling down as well ease the pain. Teeting rings say to refrigerate but freeze them - my guy preffered them frozen.

Pediaprofen! 10mg/kg works better than Tylenol. I try to time it with a meal since ideally it's not on an empty stomach. Works for pain, and reduces the swelling. For bad bouts, you can augment with tylenol too. Good luck.

I honestly don't think teething is a good enough excuse to medicate a baby. Of course it is up to you and I can't say you shouldn't, just sharing my opinion. It seems like my 14 month old is ALWAYS teething, the Hyland's Teething Tablets have worked wonders for us, I would not use anything else. It's not a drug and will not form drug immunity. The Nattursutten natural rubber teething has also helped, we cool it in the fridge.

frozen peas!

We also use hyland teething tablets...I like that they are all natural.
(Our Dr. says not to use orajel...)
My little guy doesn't like the teething rings, but my daughter loved them.
The frozen washcloth is good too...

I tell you what worked for me, Humphrey's #3. Look it up in the internet and see where you can get it. I used it with all my children, and it help all three of them. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me.
Blessings

I feel your pain! My daughter has all 4 top teeth coming in at once! Alternating tylenol and motrin and lathering on the orajel really helps us. She doesn't like teething rings or the wash cloths, so we give her frozen pees, green beans, and corn as finger foods which help numb her a little bit.

Also let your son/daughter sleep as much as they want...it helps them block out the pain and get through it. Don't keep them on their regular nap schedule if you have one.

Good luck, and remember it will pas!

I have also given my boys Teething Tablets. They dissolve immediately, and they actually seem to help...in conjunction with Orajel and Mortrin...and frozen teething rings...
Hope this helps :)
