Teething 8-Month Old, Two TOP FRONT Teeth First?

I'm just curious to know if anyone else has children that got their Top Front teeth in first? During my Internet searches, I have only found information on the two bottom front teeth but not the top. I'm a first time Mom but am pretty sure my son is getting teeth on the top...there are two white spots and he's always putting his tongue up there and fussing. Tylenol and Orajel Cotton Swabs really seem to help but most people are surprised when I say he's getting his Top Front teeth in.....

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks to Jenn C for responding!....I did happen to talk to the pediatrician's nurse today for another reason and she said the same thing...there is no order and I should not be concerned! Thanks!

My neice got her eye teeth first...talk about funny looking! Don't worry, he'll eventually have a mouth full of teeth...and probably bite his friends with them, but that's another stage you'll have to worry about :)

My daughter had her first two top teeth first too followed shortly by 3 bottom teeth. No reason to worry.

Hi S.,
I am a first time mom to a 9 mo old. Althought my daughter didn't get her top teeth in first...all babies are different. If he gets his top two teeth in first I don't think its really a big deal. One of the things that I have learned very quickly is not to compare what my baby is doing compared to someone else's baby. Every baby is different no matter if the parents are the same or different.

Also..instead of giving him Tylenol and Orajel all the time, a friend introduced me to Homeopathic Teething Drops. It is all natural with NO side effects except that it relieves the pain. I had never used homeopathic stuff before, but let me tell you IT WORKS! I found them at Target. It is call Gentle Naturals Homeopathic Teething Drops. It has a little picture of Pooh Bear and Eeyore on the lable also. You should check them out.

Hope this helps =)

Just that I have heard of it! No problem with it! Some come in 4 at a time too! All top. My twins don't have any teeth at all, they will come!

Hey My son, who's now 7, had 6 teeth by the time he was 8 months old and my now 9 month old daughter only has 1 bottom tooth and is barely working on her 2nd. I think it all depends on the child. I've asked the dentist about her teeth coming in and he said it's fine if they get them late and there isn't really a "right" order for them to come in. I wouldn't worry about it, but if you're concerned talk to your dentist. :o) Hope that helps!
