I have a 7 month old and he's teething! I know ive had other kids, but now that im busy with Kinder and Vpk and a new hubby, i cant for the life of me, remember what i used to do to keep the other two comforted. He seems to be getting two teeth on the bottom and he's trying to crawl! So any "home-remedies" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Well, with my oldest the rings we helpful. His always came in 4 at a time so a little orajel, tylenol and a ring worked. With my youngest, a frozed washcloth, or gnawing on ice (in a baggie), or just rubbing continuously on his gums. The orajel and tylenol didn't work.

Hope this helps

I have had three in five years and I now have a five month old who has been teething for over a month. My best advice is a teething ring, I also put crushed ice that I hold right on the gums where the teeth are coming in. Of course plenty of teething toys are a necessity. Also, tylenol works but ambesol won't if there are in a lot of pain. Liquor has never worked for any of my children. Good luck!

My miracle cure with both of my kids was Hyland's Teething Tablets. A couple of those dissolved in their mouths and within seconds they were settled and feeling better. I still give them as shower gifts to all my friends.

Hylands teething gel or tablets are the best. The gel is hard to find (I order it online), but the tablets are everywhere these days, Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. I also wet a wash cloth and put it in the freezer for my little one to chew on, they love it. The rough texture feels good on their gums and it softens as they chew.

We use Humphries teething tablets and for us they seem to have worked the best from the other alternatives on the market. I know that Walgreens & Wal-Mart have them. If you don't see them on the shelves ask the pharmacist, sometimes they keep them behind the counter. They are homeopathic & have worked great for us. They also seem to help with some of the gas that my son gets from teething once in a while. Hope this helps!

I have two remedies that worked like a charm. Let him have a wet washcloth. It'll get him wet but it works well. Also, on really bad days, a frozen bag of vegetables works well. Make sure it's small peas or something he won't choke on in case he bites a hole in the bag.

My mom used this for my brother and I, and it worked for my son too. Buy a bag of mini-bagels and freeze them. Give a frozen one to the baby when the teething is bugging him. The cold soothes the gums and as it thaws, chunks don't break off, it just becomes gummy like a teething biscuit, so no risk of choking. Hope this helps! Also, the Hylands Teething Tablets that you can buy at almost any pharmacy work great. They are homeopathic and just dissolve in the baby's mouth.

We use Hyland's teething tablets for our son (a homeopathic remedy) and they work great! For a while, we were using baby Orajel (my son cut his first teeth at 2 1/2 months!), but the Orajel only numbs the pain temporarily, and then the gums hurt again. The Hyland's really do the trick. Also, if the teething gets really bad, a few friends of mine use something called Hurricane Gel. It is only available at the pharmacist (although no scrip is required). It costs about $10 for a lg container of it and it numbs the gums for a while. We haven't had to use this yet, but it supposedly works well. Good luck!

I use Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets. I only know to find them at Walgreen's. They are little bitty white tablets that dissolve very quickly under their tongue. They are sweet to the taste. My daughter has always done well with them. I started using them when she was about 5 months old (this is when she got her first teeth) and I still use them now (she is 1yr old). You can give them up to three at a time up to 4 times per day. The first time I tried them I just started out giving her 1 but quickly resorted to three to give her relief. I think that they help them sleep too. I especially give them to her right before bedtime or naps!! These were referred to me by a neighbor of mine with twins. She swore by them. Hope they work for you.

We had the pleasure of teething at 3 months, we weren't expecting it so we really scrambled to find a working solution. We tried everything and while she loves her frozen tething toys they aren't a quick solution.

Baby Orajel TETHING SWABS!!!!!!!!!!! I swear they were made by God himself!!! When we found them we bought out 3 CVS's...I know stop laughing at me. They are so much better than the orajel in the tube...they work INSTANTLY. I tried one myself one night to see if they really worked and my mouth went numb right away.

My daughter is 10 months now and is still pushing out teeth, so now when we grab one of the swabs she crawls right over to us and opens her mouth...it's so cute. I guess that means she loves how well they work too.

Good Luck!!

I tried this with my second child. All I did was take some yogurt, which now they have the different flavors besides Vanilla. I spooned the yogurt in ice trays with a popcicle stick in each yougurt. Placed them in the freezer and when they were frozen, I gave them to the teether at the time to help soothe his swollen gums and it also became a healthy treat as well. I also gave one to my first child as a treat also. They loved them, I still make them to this day on hot and even cool days. It is also quick to make and clean up for busy moms!

i used Hylands teething tablets. You can find them in a drug store. They work good and disolve fast. I uses them with both of my girls! no complaints here. Also with my oldest one we use frozen bananas. Sounds gross, but worked really well too. You put a banana is the freezer for a while and then peel it and let them just chew on it! It is a little messy, but helps them with there teeth and they like it. Good luck!

I used Hylands teething tablets. They reduced swelling, and dull the pain and sooth fussy babies. They are 100% natural, dissolve instantly, and babies enjoy the taste. A Pharmisist(SP?) recommended them to me with my first child; she said thats what she gets for her grandchildren. My 3 year old ate the whole bottle (250 tablets) once thinking it was candy. I called poision control, and they said she would have to eat 5 bottles before they would become concerned. So they are very safe. You can get them in Walmart in the vitamin area. There in a small blue and white box, and cost about 5 dollars. Money well spent. Hylands also has a web site if you want to check them out.

Hi, I'm originally from California too! I have 7 children, and the teething remedy that worked best for me was Hyland's Teething Tablets. They dissolve on the baby's tongue, and work very quickly. There is also Humphrey's Teething Tablets, but I had better results with Hylands. It's homeopathic, so it won't hurt babies. They are available at CVS, Walgreens, and drugstore, really. God Bless, I hope your little one gets relief soon!

I used Rose Petal jam for teehting pain for my baby. Take some jam on finger and put on babies gums a few times a day, or as baby started to cry from teeth pain. It works great, all natural, no pills, no chimicals.
There is the link where you can buy it:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G0JZHI/qid=115621958...

Also cold teething rings from the refrigerator would help, finger food.
Good luck, V..
