Teething - Marinette,WI
Does anyone have any tips on how to get your child to sleep thru the night when they're teething?
So What Happened?™
Our doctor has upped the dose of his Motrin so the last two nights we've given him that plus some night time oragel and he has slept thru the night so far. Thanks for the advice!

Ugh, teething! My daughter is 10 months and we tried just letting her cry and that baby oragel, but really what seemed to work the best was a little tylonol before bed. We are not really into giving too much medication, but she finally slept through the night. Hope this helps!

I know this has nothing to do with his teeth coming in but my daughter started Teething really early so I changed her whole schedule. I give her a bath with johnsons bathtime vapors. Then rub her hims with baby oral gel and give her a nice baby massage. It helps relax her and then I feed her and she is off to
bed. Normally works.
Best of luck!!

Baby orajel night works great. I used that at night with my son. they also carry a homeopathic teething stuff at walgreens it is in a blue and pink box forgot the name I use that on my daycare kids durring thte day especially at nape time. freezies/popsicles work great homemade or store bought both work great to numb it good.

when my son was teething (he only has two teeth @ age one, but i swear he has been teething forever...) he usually had a runny nose or a cold and was kind of miserable in that respect, so i did not feel bad giving him a bit of tylonol infant drops and also using baby orajel. letting him chew on cold things before bedtime might help give him some relief as well. i would rub his gums with my finger to also help break down the gum tissue.
if he woke up during the night, i would rub some gel on his gums and once in a great while actually give him the tylonol.
wish i had some magic answer...good luck!

I have heard really good things about the teething tablets you can find at WalMart.
I always freeze teething rings as well as giving them a cold washcloth.

Children's Motrin worked WONDERS for us when our son was teething. Its better for pain than Tylenol and it lasts up to 8 hours. Hope that helps!

Maybe concentrated baby Tylenol will work. Depending on the age it'll be .4 or .8. I have a baby that just popped a tooth the other day and for the last week she's been up at least 4 times during the night every night. You can try the numbing stuff too. When the baby is sleeping maybe you can wake at least once to dose the baby the numbing stuff just to prevent the baby from waking.
