Check out the Rye Y they have teen programs or you can get private lessons in anything from the gym to swimming( a good start) and even basketball. I have a 9 and 7 year old, my 9 in a video game nut and we have rules ie no games during the week when there is school, and he has to pick one sport, we just finished the town Baseball, good luck

Hi C.-Give him Fit Pack-it has 9 workouts on it and is a great buy-it has kids on it and is like a computer game. His workouts are on Oprah. It is a very inexpensive remedy.

Karate? I think a 13 year old would enjoy that. Great discipline plus it'll get him active.

the gym at cross county has boxing. i believe there's no sign up fee and $5 to go. i'm a stay at home mom and i love to box. its a great workout!

i have the same problem .so i take him bike riding and i take him to the park with his friends to the park and as long as his running around his not eating lol and u need to time him with the video games and tell him that you both need to work together on this or no more video games.and if he doesn't listen remove the game at least for a day or two and watch him give in .you have to make in fun for him. good luck =)
