Tandem Double Stroller Recommendations???
I'm trading in my side-by-side and looking for advice for a tandem double stroller. I have a 20 month old girl and 30 month old boy. One that looks good to me is the Kolcraft Contours Options. Anyone have this?
Thanks.

HI L.,
I am on my 3rd child and I borrowed a Baby Trend Sit And Stand & it's great. You can get one from Target or online & they are reasonably priced (about $129 to $150 with a convertable back seat. The great thing is that when the older child wants to get out and walk, you don't have to stop and lift the child out, they can just step out. You'll have to be the judge if your older boy is right for this type of stroller. But overall is is easy to open and close and takes up the same amt of room in the car/van as a single stroller. Even tho I am on my last child, I am going to buy a brand new one for myself. We will be headed to a few theme parks this year & I took it on the plane recently & it was a lifesaver. At times I could fit my 7 month old in her carseat in front and my 3 yr old sitting on the back bench and my 5 year standing on the back stand platform. I love it and wish I had known about this much earlier in my infant raising days! Good Luck.

I looked at several models and decided to get the One Step
Ahead Tandem Stroller. They have online specials quite frequently so you can get free shipping. It's easy to put together and light. I was able to lift it into my car after having a c-section. Took it on the plane to Florida. I can't say enough about it. My kids love it too.

I love my Graco one. Ofcourse when I got mine they were just coming out with the new lighter styles but I wanted one my car seat would fit into so I opted for the Graco tandem. I have a 3 year old and a one year old and they like it as well. We use it on outings and in stores and for walks on sidewalks. I have not tried walks in parks and such but have a side by side jogger I can use for that option.
We seem to use the Graco all the time and it is easy to fold up but does take up space. If you ahve a sedan type car it may take up the whole truck.

hi
to be honest. i did considering buy Kolcraft Contours double stroller, it looked awesome and have few ways to change the seats and removeable seat too. We decided to not get it because it is bit heavier and longer plus the front seat hold up to 40lbs and is not ideal for my son who is 2 and hald yrs old who is already btwn 33 to 35lbs. we are going get Graco's new double stroller that have front seat hold up to 50lbs which is better for me. and bit lighter and smaller than Kolcraft. and it push better than Kolcraft too. so I sugguest u research more about that stroller and go babies r us to try both stroller with ur kids. I have baby on way that due in a month :o)
good luck!

I am about to have my second baby and am investing in a Phil & Teds as well. Two of my girlfriends have them and they absolutely love them! They both tried other double strollers, but ended up loving the Phil and Teds.

I went on onestepahead.com and bought the stroller that gives me the option of coverting the back seat into a sit n- stand for my oldest. I know Phil & Teds is highly recommended as well, but it was too pricey for me.

Hi L.,
I have the Kolcraft Options single stroller and LOVE it!!! Hard to believe that you get the expensive options for the price. When I bought it I couldn't find any store locally (in Boston area!) that sold it so I bought it from Target.com - I think I got free shipping, too. People are attracted to the modern styling and ask about it all the time. Just the other day I saw that Babies R'Us sells the tandem. The only comment I have is that it seemed heavy to me, but then I didn't compare it to other tandems.
Good Luck!
J.
