Hi , I was needing some ideas from you smart moms. I plan on buying plane t-shirts for 4 little girls ages 5-10 and I want to make them fancy and bling blingie and dress the t-shirt up. I sure could use some ideas for this. I know Hobby Lobby has some neat stuff to put on them , I am just not sure what to do with it. We will be at the beach this summer and I would like all these little cousins to have cute t's to wear. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and answer this.....D.

What can I do next?

Hi D.,
First thing...that is so cute with what you are doing not to mention smart. You will be saving a bundle. What you may want to start with is the girls favorite color and favorite thing they like and add it to each individual t. make each one personal to their liking. You could do the tye dye. Add some bling on the front, maybe their names. The "bling" letters come in all sizes and would be so cute. Good luck!!!

Go to Etsy.com and search for girls tshirt. You can see all kinds of wonderful home made tshirts people are selling.

Many are made with supplies you can find at Hobby Lobby, JoAnns, Michaels, etc.

You can get lots of ideas.

Why don't let each girl decorate their own shirts the way she want? I think they will love it.

There was a little girl at the Catholic School my kids used to go to that refused to wear a regular t-shirt. It was not "princessy". She sewed lace to the bottom of the shirt and used fabric glue to attach rhinestone and used paint or iron transfers to decorate. They were super cute and inexpensive.

Just go to The Children's Place and buy some. LOL! If you look on retailmenot.com you can find coupon codes all the time. They have lots of blingy shirts there perfect for little girls :)

If you want to decorate your own, why not get the stuff from a craft store and let them decorate the shirts themselves? I bet they'd have a blast! It would be a special shirt they only THEY have too.

I love to do tie dye. You can get a kit from a craft store or online. I wait until it is warm and you can have the mess outdoors though. My husband laughed at me for making everyone wear matching tie dyed t shirts to travel but it made it much easier to keep track of our preschool who loves to run in a crowd.

i have wanted to buy a tshirt and cut the sleeves off to make a dress for my one yr old. she can wear a 2T and 3T shirt so i would get an extra big one. i would need to hem the sleeves. perhaps adding a ruffle ribbon to the sleeve area and the bottom of the dress. buying extra big ones they can make a cute short dress or cover up for there swim suit. and letting them decorate some can be fun for them also. sounds fun!

tie dye is cute and michaels and hobby lobby both have fabric paints and also iron on transfers. I like the transfers as they last a long time.
