T Ball and Other Sports

I live in Norfolk and have a 4 year old, 2 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old. I am trying to find sport programs for my 4 year old son for this summer. I have found one soccer program in Virginia Beach that he could attend. I would really like to find a tee ball program for him but am having trouble finding a program that allows a 4 year old. And suggestions? Thank you.

What can I do next?

Hello! My kids have played for the www.wkya.com in Virginia Beach. It is a really good program. It also lasts through the summer and the have sport for the winter to. Hope this helps.

At Norfolk Christian they used to have a program called KIFF (Kids Interested In Fun and Fitness) for young kids. I no longer live near there but both of my kids attended that summer program. They were introduced to many sports and tumbling. That way they got to try a little of everything to see what they really enjoyed. They do accept students that do not attend their school. Norfolk Christian's phone number is: ###-###-#### - I would give them a call.

Hi T.,
I live in Portsmouth and my 41/2 and 6 year olds really enjoy the chesapeake community center classes. Ther is a T-ball class starting 5/8-5/29 from 1-2 pm the cost is $16, plus $5, non-resident fee. You can goolge chesapeake parks and go to the lesiure guide and it will list all the classes and everything.

Hi T.,

There is a parenting group in Norfolk that might have some ideas.

Good luck. D.

Have you tired calling a school for info on sports. I know that Kings Grant school has some sports for younger children. I hope this helps..

Hey there,
I have 4 year old twins and had the same problem. We joined the YMCA and found many things for younger kids. Also I started them in gymnastics at Gymstrada and that's the best thing ever. You can even do Karate at 3 yrs old. My son wants to do Tball also but you have to be 5 by May to play this spring so we will have to wait for the fall. But there are so many things especially in the summer for them to do. Also check out your local rec center.
