Swingset

We are currently on the market for a good Swingset. I have a 7 year old boy and 4 year old girl who love to play outside. I have read some reviews about the toysrus seingsets that make them sound like they won't last that long. I am thinking about the Costco set by want to know for sure that it's money well spent.

What can I do next?

I have 3 boys age 8, 6, and 2, who love to play outside. We bought the wooden swingset from Sam's Club and they all love playing in/on it. It is very well built, and should last a long time. We have had it for about 2 years now, and everything is great.

We bought the swingset from costco about 2years ago. Our kids love it. We have a 11 year old, 6 year old,and a 3 year old. We live in the desert and it is holding up great. Best money spent!

Hi J.,

We actually have that swingset from Costco and our 2 year old loves it. wealso have a 9 month old who I bought an infant swing for and she loves it too. It's very sturdy and since it has other things to do like the rock climb and the clubhouse teir older cousins like playing on it as well. Their cousins are 9 and up so I know this will last a long time. We've had it for almost a year now. Hope this helps.

We bought our kids a Cedar Works playset 7 years ago. I looked into every set out there and this company far out-shined the rest. They are crazy expensive, but we figured it was an investment for the future. We have no doubt that our grandchildren will love it as much as their daddies did/DO! Good luck!

We recently went through what you're going through. After researching swingset after swingset, we finally went with the one that Sam's Club is currently selling. We have only had it for 5-6 weeks, but so far we have been extremely satisfied with the quality. My 2 yr. old son & 8 yr. old daughter love it. I will have to warn you that it did take my Husband and Father-in-law (who knew what they were doing) 2 full weekends to assemble. I have seen the set at Costco and it is very comparable to this one. Costco does offer a company, for an extra fee, to assemble it for you. I think that if we had it to do all over again and we had that option, we would pay someone to do it. My husbands time is so valuable and the weekends tend to be so busy for us. Hope this helps...Good Luck!!!

We purchased the swingset from Sams Club, probably very similar to the Costco one and it has been wonderful. We have had it for about 1 1/2 yrs. My kids are 7 (boy) and 6 (girl). They use it ALL the time. It holds up great. Even my husband and myself have played on it. Hope this helps.

I do childcare for a living and the Costco brand is wonderful because the larger the yard you have you can add to the set. I also recommend looking in Agoura Hills for the swing sets that are made with redwood, and make yourself because the wood doesn't leave splinner's. It is well worth hiring a Handyman if you don't have one.

I don't know where you live but there's a place on the other side of the freeway from Costco. It's next to the Carl's Jr. and Taco Bell. I think it's called Island something. We got our swing set there when my son turned about 2 years old. It is very durable and there are a lot of configurations you can get. I like it because there is no exposed wood which means no splinters and not having to treat it every year or so. The material is great and can just be hosed off when it gets dirty.

It is an investment but at least I know they will be able to use it for years to come. The company also offers installation which was helpful.

I just got a wood swing set today that I found in Craigslist. The set was a couple of years old and got it for $500. What a deal!! My husband just had to take it apart and put it back together but for $500, it was worth it. I think the wood type will be the best for your older kids versus the plastic ones from toysrus.
