I've been having second thoughs about the swine flu vaccine specially for my 2 and 4 years old children , i heard about the side effects and i feel scare about it i don't know what to do .

i know swine flu is bad and if you get it you have a very good chance to make it and survive this country is ready to treat it if we act right away .... but the side effects of the vaccine are not reversibles and i heard that may affect little children's brain .

i just want to know what other mothers feel about this I'm very confuse .

Thank you !

My son will NOT be getting the swine flu vaccine.. My pediatrician said there's not enough information, it was made to quick, and we don't know all the side effects yet...Most doctors are not recommending children to get it~
I don't even give my son the "regular" flu shot anymore because he got so sick from it a couple years ago.

Hi! Oh my gosh..the news and medical industry have REALLY overblown this whole swine flu thing. It is not any worse than the regular flu..the regular flu actually has a higher mortality rate...but the media is always looking for stories to blow out of proportion, and the vaccine manufacturers want you to be scared into vaccinating. Hey..it's a recession for everyone..even the big med. companies, so why not scare everyone into the "new" vaccine. There is no way I am vaccinating my kids. The deaths that have occurred from H1N1 have been to those with underlying conditions. I think that this is just a heck of a lot of hype. My husbands cousin contracted the swine flu, and it was no big deal. These vaccines are WAY to new to use our kids as guinea pigs. Just my view, but please don't stress it. This is my view on vaccines...I don't ever know if my kids will be exposed to the illnesses that most kids are vaccinated against, but I do know, if I did vaccinate, that I would be exposing them to those destructive toxins. All this said, this is just my view, and you must listen to your heart to make the best choice for your family.

No one in our family will be getting the vaccine. Way to many red flags on this one. I would do a tremendous amount of research before you even consider giving it to your children.

Hi M. B!

To tell you the truth I really didn't know what to do. At my kids school some M. were reluctant to give it to their kids. Some were worry and were thinking about it and other like me didn't know what to do. Yesterday we found out that my husband's brother, wife and two (home schooled) teenagers got it. The whole town where they live in CA got it and they all were having respiratory problems. It's been a week since they got sick and they still are feeling very sick. Of course, they got the antibiotics and the H1N1 vaccine after they got infected, but now they tell us they wished they'd had the vaccine before. They say the body reaction to this type of flue is totally different from the regular flue. This one is like is stays in your chest for ever and makes feel miserable and too tire to perform. I still think the vaccine it's new and not much research hasn't been done about it, but it get scary some one close to the family got the swain flu and you know just by listened to them talk that they are having hard time.
Let's hope that we don't get it. And if we get it to have everything available to fight it.

J.

Have your kids wash hands before eating, keep them eating healthy and if any signs of the flu get them seen by the pediatrician. No vaccine - the risks of the vaccine outweight the benefits in my opinion. And I'm a health care provider.

Here at our house our children will NOT be receiving the H1N1 or the seasonal flu vaccine.

My children homeschool (a teenager and a "tween") and therefore my concern is that the risk of the vaccine outweighs the risk of contracting the flu (either form).

Also, if there are egg allergies you should be careful with flu vaccines as well (check the CDC web site for specific info - they have the precautions there). I have a child with a strong egg sensitivity.

Good luck with your decision.
