Swine Flu Questions

Hi Moms, I am 13 weeks pregnant and my OB wants me to get both the flu and swine flu shots....I am scared. I am not vaccintating my two kids against the swine flu. What are your opinions please?

What can I do next?

Why would you not get Vaccintated your self and your kids? My sons dr. said that he highly recoamends getting my kids done as well as my self. and with you being pregnant I would not take any chanches if I were you.

I'm 13 weeks as well and there's no way I'd let them put anything in me - especially something with unknown side-effects. I don't blame you for not vaccinating your kids and for being wary of doing it yourself.
I've never had any flu vaccines...I know people who do and they either get the flu from the vaccine or get another strain of it eventually. It just doesn't make sense...in my opinion. ;)
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! :)

Don't do it! They do not know enough about the side effects of this vaccine! I just wouldn't risk it for me!

There is no way in hell I'd get a vaccine while pregnant. And most flu shots have mercury in them. It really is up to you but I wouldn't do it.

:-) Good luck,
T.

My husband and I have never gotten flu shots, and we typically avoid the flu every season. We have no intention of giving our boys the flu shots either. I wouldn't get them vaccinated if you are against it. We don't know the side effects of this vaccine, and if it even helps at all.
