Swimming Lessons near Avon Lake
I am intereseted in getting my daughter into swimming lessons. We live in Avon Lake and I see the Five Seasons offers classes but they have a lot more than I really am looking for right now in terms of membership costs. Does anyone recommend somewhere to take swim lessons? The hard part is I work so it has to be either evening class or weekends.

Hi M.,
Check out the YMCA on Columbia Rd. just South of Detroit. They have a great kids swim program.
Good luck,

EMH in Avon offers swimming lessons to anyone - you don't need to have a membership.

M.-
I just started swim lessons as another suggested at the Westshore YMCA. For non-members it was 85 dollars for 12 lessons and the teachers are really good. They do offer Saturday and early evening classes.

M.,
I live in Lakewood and I know as a community they offer things like swim lessons, ballet, tap, and other activities for people of all ages. The price of the classes run from $35 (residents) and $55 for (non-residents) for an 8 week class. I have looked into joining the local YMCA but you still need to pay for the classes. So I think that it is a great service that Lakewood provides for the community. I have talked to other people about these services and they have mentioned that their community also does the same thing. I guess what I am saying is contact your city offices and see if they have these types of services. Our family is really on a budget and I feel these classes are affordable and also allows us to be involved.
Good luck finding something.
K.
