I would like to get my 5yr old daughter and 3 yr old son in swimming lessons within the next month or so. Any suggestions of places in West Jordan area?

Thanks,
K.

What can I do next?

My sister-in-law's grandparents have a pool and do run a swimming lessons operation. I believe they are in Riverton though, is that to far? I can get their informaiton if you're interested.

I had a good experience with the outdoor West Jordan Pool, all 3 of my older children learned to swim there. I plan on taking my younger two there as well. It is next to Gene Fullmer Rec. Center. I am sure the indoor pool would also be good.

Kearns Rec offers them and is accepting registration now. I think all the rec centers offers them. Taylorsville rec on 2700 West is adverting them almost constantly.

Gene Fullmer Recreation center. just behind the large West Jordan Park.

My daughter started taking swimming lessons when she was 3 years old. She is now 11 years old and loves to swim and would be a mermaid if she had the chance. I would recommend Gene Fulmer Recreation Center. It is in West Jordan on 2200 West and about 80th South.

I recently moved from West Jordan and every summer I would put my kids in at the pool at West Jordan Middle School. It was affordable and the lessons were great! My only suggestion is that you do it early in the year and early in the day. It is an indoor pool and in the summer heat, it can get toasty. Good luck!

I know somebody in South Jordan that is fantastic!! They do it in their backyard pool and are extremely good! It is called Debbie's Dolphins. Debbie Kroll and her husband (I can't remember his name, my kids usually have Debbie) teach. The are close to Bingham High School. They have a very non-sympathetic way of teaching, which I love. They really push and challenge them. I am scared of the water, and have been since I was little. I took swim lessons but quit a few lessons in because of my fear. I wish I would have had teachers push me like they do, because I might not be afraid of the water today. They do it in a loving way, though. My girls LOVE to swim now. They were a little nervous at first-- my younger one moreso. They got them to jump off the diving board in no time. Their number is ###-###-#### and they start taking sign-ups the end of April. Their water is even nice-- the kids get out and don't have irritated eyes, and their skin is really soft. I highly recommend them for a number of reasons.
