Also, the Plano Family YMCA between Legacy & Tennyson Pkwy by EDS has year round lessons I think.

Absolutely recommend Emler Swim School in Plano. They are at the corner of Park and Ohio. They are amazing! Both of my girls (ages 3 and 5) have been going there for over 2 years and they both swim. Their program is focused on safety, their instructors are young, energetic and all trained. No better place to go.

The Natatorium in Allen, two minutes from Highway 75, on Exchange Pkwy. Several of my friends have been taking their kids there for all-year-swimming lessons. Good luck!

I registered my daughter in EMLER in Plano. I loved the facilities and the staff is great; my daughter will start next week and we are sooo excited because she loves swimming. she is also 6 years old.

i have a five year old son and have found the plano recreation centers have excellent swim courses for all levels and ages. the instructors are awesome as well as patient and the ratio for students per teacher is great. the main campus is oak point center on springcreek and jupiter. but there are two others that go thru the program which is plano aquatic center on independence and parkhaven and also tom muelenbeck on parker close to dallas tollway. all are thru the same courses and times are vast. the rates also are very cheap per month..54$.
there is also the ymca over on preston and tennyson. i have not joined there because they are further from my house but also are about 10-15 dollars more expensive. i hope this helped.

I put my 5 year old in swimmimng lessons at The Tom Muehlenbeck Center on Paker Road in Plano. He really enjoyed himself. The lessons are at an indoor pool and they have lessons year round and you do not have to have a membership. Go to www.planoparks.org for scheduling. Best of luck! J.

Hi S.. We had a great experience with the City of Plano's swimming program. Their lessons run year-round in various recreation centers throughout the city. Our daughter is only two-years-old, but she had such a great time that she's asked to go back.

I take my son to aquafit in East plano. We love it there. It's indoors and next door to University of Gymnastics off Summit avenue off Ave. N between 14th & Plano Parkway. Their website is www.aquafitplano.com Classes are once per week and 8 classes is 120$. They also offer private lessons for 35$.

S. our DD took swimming lessons at Lifetime Fitness and really enjoyed it. I don't think you have to be a member. Good Luck!

Check out Emler Swim Schools. I know they are great. I used to nanny for a little girl that went there once a week, year round.

There may be other locations, but the one she went to is at Park & Ohio (just east of Preston) in Plano.

Oak Point Center as a great year round swim program and they are very reasonable.

If you live in Plano, you can join the Plano Rec centers...one-year memberships are extremely reasonable and good at all the area rec centers. Several have indoor pool facilities. We happen to live near the Tom Meuhlenbeck off Parker between the Tollroad and Preston. You can go online to view their Leisure magazine, which will show all the swim lesson offerings. We love having an indoor pool just down the road!!

The Emler Swim School is located at W. Park Blvd. and Ohio in West Plano. It has an indoor swimming pool so lessons run year round.

Try Metroplex Gymnastic and Swim - It is in Allen but great! Paige is the best of all the instructors

We went all last year to Swim Plus in Plano off Ave K near Parker Rd. My daughter took weekly 30 min lessons and loved it!

There is a YMCA in Plano and one in Frisco that has indoor swimming facilities and offers lessons. Also, there is Emler on Park Blvd., Plano, that offers swim lessons.

the city of frisco athletic center has swimming lessons.
