Swim Diapers with No Dye in Them?

Hello ladies! Here's the deal: My 18 mos. old daughter is allergic to the dye inside diapers. Luckily, we have found that Giant Eagle brand diapers contain no dye on the inside of the diaper. However, we have had no such luck with swim diapers. Does anyone have a clue of what I should do? For now, she is wearing a regular diaper which swells and gets nasty in about 5 seconds of being in the water. Anyone have this issue with their child? Anyone know where I can get dye-free swim diapers? Thank you so much for any input!

What can I do next?

Ohhh - what a crappy problem to have.

iPlay makes the cutest swim suits for little girls, with swim diapers built in! The downside is that it's like a cloth diaper, so if she messes in it, you will have to wash the whole thing. I actually bought two of them so if that happens, I can just change out the bottom.

You can also just buy the bottoms, if that's all you are looking for. They also have matching sun hats - too cute.

I got mine on babycenter.com on sale, but BambinoMountain.com has a great iPlay selection as well.

Hope this helps!

How about trying the fabric non disposable swim diapers available at Target, Toys R Us, etc.

did you try using just a simple cloth diaper for swimming purposes, diaperwraps (I think that is how it is spelled, it has been a while), makes a swimming diaper and cloth diaper, I used them with my twin boys when they started developing issues with the disposable diapers. You could probably google them.

It is likely that she is allergic to the chemicals used to bleach and the perfumes used to smell cute.

Cloth swim diapers work well, easy to use and washing them is certainly not a down fall to their use. The chemicals you keep off your child are a huge plus all by itself.

here is a google: lots of other people who also don't think they are difficult to use. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cloth+swim+diape...=

good luck!
