Swim Diaper - Allen,TX
Does anyone know of a swim diaper for children less than 16 lbs? I am looking for something for the summer time. My daughter is 5 weeks and 9 1/2 lbs now so I don't see her being big enough for the 16 lbs swim diapers by Pampers or Huggies. Regular diapers are horrible for pools and the filtration systems. My sisters used to use cloth diapers with the rubber pants over top, which I can do, but I was wondering if there is anything out there that would be easier to use.

you might be surprised at how big she will get in 6 more weeks. Plus, I will say that I find the pampers swim diapers to run pretty small. We have always had to get a size bigger in those, but even in the huggies, I think they may run small too. Just not as much as the pampers. I have seen those reusable swim diaper things at Target in the baby isles, so you could try there too. Good luck, I too cant wait for summer!!! ~A.~

V. , I have a 3 yr old and last year i put him in nothing. But I do know that if your daughter is too little for the little swimmers or even the regular diaper explodes in the pool than consider the cloth diaper its only for a little while and it won't harm anyone. So why not go with the cloth diaper in the pool and the regular throw aways when out of the pool.

I used a swim diaper that I bought from a cloth diaper store online. It was GREAT! Never any leaks or anything, and it didn't need anything additional over it. You can order the same one from One Step Ahead (www.onestepahead.com). It's just a basic plain white, but it does the job.
