Swedish Nursing Cups?

"Swedish nursing cups" are now called breast shells. They can be worn during pregnancy, or prior to infant feeding, to draw out inverted nipples. Two reputable sources are Ameda (.com) or Medela. Medela can probably found at a local Target store, but Ameda has the ones formerly called "Swedish nursing cups."
Breast shells work well for some moms. Depending on the issue, the most helpful thing for a newborn (particularly when mom has flat or inverted nipples) is that only the breast goes in the mouth. Most babies can learn to draw out the nipple without problem. However, if a pacifier or bottle is introduced before the baby learns how, the baby will often not latch because he is waiting for the stimulous of an erect nipple (like the pacifier).

I had some with my first, but realized that is actually draws the milk out more. So leaking is increased. I just used Johnson and Johnson's nursing pads with my other three. I leak for 9 months or more, so it is essential for me to have something that works well. I think J&J's are the best. If you do use the Swedish milk cups be careful with bacteria (if your going to save the milk, make sure they are clean prior to each use), and yeast infections (with you nipples being to moist, so only wear them when you are nursing).

Are you talking about something like nursing pads to absorb leaking? If so, I know they make tons of different kinds of those; cloth, wool, disposable (which worked best for me and my overactive letdown and overproduction issues). The cloth and wool ones just seemed to leak and didn't absorb enough for me. The disposable ones you can find almost anywhere. There is something out there called Lilly pads (spelling?) that is like a silicone nursing pad that just sticks to your body and absorbs the leaking (if it's not much) I've never tried those.
