My 7 mos old daughter sweats so much when she sleeps. I put her in a 100% cotton onsie, coTton sheets and cover only with a sheet! When she moves at night she leaves a big upper body sweat mark on the bed..is it bad she sweats so much at night?

What can I do next?

I would ask the pediatrician, but it could be nothing. She could just be a naturally hot kid (my son's that way, always sweaty!)... My eldest daughter used to get really sweaty, and she was diagnosed with palmoplantar hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating of the hands and feet)... THAT'S why you want to mention it the the doctor, but I still think she's probably just a naturally sweaty kiddo :) Just make sure she stays plenty hydrated during the day, and at 7 months, as long as she's gaining proper weight and eating enough bottles/nursing, she's okay :)

My now 4 year old has been this way since birth. He just sweats very easy. His sheets would be wet as a baby, and now his pillow case and blanket always get wet, I have to wash his sheets every few days. She just sweats so easy, when he plays with other kids and runs around, he always gets drenched! Ped doesn't seem to think anything of it. I wouldn't worry about it, just mention to her doc at her next appt.

Both of my kids did this. My pediatrician wasn't concerned, especially since their father gets sweaty when he sleeps too. Something that helped was to keep their feet uncovered. It didn't solve the problem, but it was better. I cut the feet out of all the jammies when they were little and they did not wear socks to bed. MY son grew out of it, but my daughter is still sweaty when she sleeps and she is almost three.

My 2 year old son is like this too and has been all his life. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. Just make sure she gets plenty of fluids during the day!

My husband (49 yrs. old) and my daughter (now 23 years old) have always been like this! Their body temperature seems to go up whenever they sleep, no matter what they're wearing, covers or no covers, season, room temp... Our doctor doesn't worry, and they're not uncomfortable, so we don't worry.
