I am looking for any support groups or chats regarding pregnancy loss. We lost our child in the 5th month of pregnancy and need help coping. (this was our first pregnancy) Any ideas suggestions would be helpful. We would prefer that it not be a religious affiated group if possible.

What can I do next?

Hi S.,
Am really sorry about your loss. I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and took a long time to get over it. Now thankgod I have two healthy kids but the loss is still there. What helped me was keeping a journal and reading litterature. It took me a long time to open up to somebody and talk about it. I know of one group but have no personal experience with it..you will have to recheck the information.
It is a support group for parents who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. Meets every third Tuesday of the month:
Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn Avenue
Cincinnati, Ohio ###-###-####
I know you don't know me but I'm here if you need somebody to talk to.Take care.

S., try contacting Lighter Shade of Blue. They are a support group out of Fairfield ( i think) that copes with child loss and post partum depression. They have a website you can search, or ask your OBGYN. Sometimes they advertise their meetings in Cincinnati Family magazine.

I'm so sorry for you loss. A good website for chat rooms dealing with this is called www.conceptionstore.com
On there message boards they have a site for dealing with a pregnancy loss.

I hope this helps.

I know someone that has recently experienced a loss in the first trimester. She is a middle-aged professional trying to become a new mom, solo, and is also looking for support. Would you like me to exchange your info and hers?

Best of luck to you...
