Because the church is lack of nursery attendant during the sermon, I signed myself in. Few minutes ago, the pastor emailed all of us the 2 months schedule. He added that there used to be a biblical lesson and he wanted to start it again on May. I am scheduled for June. What do we do in sunday school here? I used to attend sunday school, but it was like when I was 7. My son was with me during the sermon since he was a baby, so basically I have no idea. What songs to teach and how we teach a group of 3-5 year old ?
I don't want to be dissapointing, d I am new on this church. I recently moved from an Indonesian church and from all the nursery attendant,,I am the only one who already has a child and the oldest.
Please help with any ideas. Thanks.
The church is just like baptist or Lutheran church. The teens class is now making cards to send to Africa, so i don't know what they are doing when theyare not in a project.
What songs to teach for the little kid?
Songs here is different with songs in my country. Give me the lists to listen and i will youtube and try to learn it. Thanks.

What can I do next?

I would speak to the pastor, or whoever is in charge of the Sunday school program. Since none of us go to your church (I assume) we have no way of knowing what is expected :)

Go to a Christian bookstore and buy a preschool activity book for lessons and project ideas.

Anything by the Cedarmont Kids music collections will be great. I recommend their "Sunday School" or "Bible Action" songs collection. They also have DVDs to show action and movement that goes along with the songs.

I have taught our church's 3-5 year old class, as well as older kids and even the teens and women's class. This is the manual we used for the younger children. Some of our beliefs may be a little different, as is the case with most Christian churches, but you can feel free to look through the lessons, and get topic, activity, and song ideas:

music:

3 year old manual:
http://www.lds.org/manual/primary-1?lang=eng

4-7 year olds manual:
http://www.lds.org/manual/primary-2?lang=eng

Our lessons are generally 1 hour, usually we do a little game and coloring a picture at the end of the lesson. Then, it's on to music and large class Sunday School time for about an hour.

WEll, I googled 'Christian Sunday School Ideas' and a trillion sites came up, sites about songs, curriculum, etc. If it's not Christian, insert religion here!

GL!

There are so many different denominations and beliefs among Christian churches that I don't think anyone can give you a good idea besides your pastor, or someone in charge of the program there.

I could tell you what we used to sing/do but that might be completely different from how your church worships.

Ask your pastor or a leader to give you ideas, and maybe even purchase a curriculum for you to use. Or have them purchase a cd with songs on it to play for the kids.
