Can you recommend any summer camps for a 5 year old boy near Carrollton? I have already checked out the Recreational Center. Please help.

What can I do next?

I just signed mine up for the one at McNath middle school. It's ages 5-11. 8-6pm and $100 week. They have all kinds of fun outdoor activities planned. Also, try the YMCA, AGI, and the "camp at the lake" one that's at Grapevine(they have several pick up/drop off locations so you don't have to drive to grapevine every day).

Doesn't your school isd provide an enrichment program?

Ask. Because when my daughter was in elementary years ago there was an enrichment program through Plano ISD that we paid for ($100 or less) for 4 weeks post school time.

I did this for her first years in elementary and the courses were computer, cooking, art, and drama. Loved it!!

Not sure if it would be out of the way for you, but have you checked out Plano Sports Authority (www.psaplano.org)? They are located on Preston Meadow between Spring Creek and Legacy. The only thing my daughter didn't like about it was they don't have swimming, but they do have fun and stay active!
