Suggestions for Infant/toddler Music

I would like to buy some music for my 5 month old to listen to for play time. I would like it to be interactive songs that I can use puppets and finger plays with. I've got Raffi's Animal Songs and Sesame Street Platinum. Any suggestions for other good ones?

What can I do next?

I love the L. Berkner Band, many of them you can act out, but her music is better for kids that are 2 y/o plus.

I would also say L. Berkner. I used to play it in the car and sing along. Free To Be You And Me is a great album from the 70s. This has songs and stories. Great! I also love kenny loggins...house at pooh corner. Starbucks has put put some great compilations of childrens songs as well. My philosophy is that if the music drives you nuts, like the ones with a bunch of kids singing, then it is bound to drive your kid nuts!

When my kids were littler we listened to a lot of Baby Einstein in the car. Now that we're older, we love L. Berkner & Ralph's World. My daughter likes the Disney Princess CDs.

Some of our favorites are: Dr. Jean, Wiggles, Mainly Music CDs, Steve Songs, L. Berkner, Lisa Loeb (has some cute kid songs), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse CDs. Mainly Music and Dr. Jean are probably the best choices for what you are looking for.

We love Rockabye Baby, Raffi & Dr.Jean. Check your local library as many times you can find a great selection to check-out & sample before you make the investment.
