Suggestions Bed and Breakfasts, 'Romantic Lodges', Cabins Bemidji-Itasca Area

I suggest the following places, we got married t Kohl's Resort on Turtle Lake which has great cabins, but not very B & B ish. But,

This place looked fantastic, but couldn't really accomodate us for our wedding. Personally, Rutgers (previous recommendation) is not on my list - but they are on the lake.

While it wasn't a romantic vacation (we were there with our baby, my parents, and aunt!), we stayed at a cabin right at Itasca State Park about 3 years ago and really enjoyed it! We went fishing/boating, went to the Headwaters (there's a swimming beach closeby there too), hiking, biking...it was nice! That's the only time I'd stayed in the area, so that's all I know. :)

I can recommend Ruttger's Resort: http://www.ruttger.com/. It's on the lake, lots of different cabins & a lodge as well. Basic, quaint. Indoor pool in case of rain. And their summer rates drop at the end of August. Best of luck!

I wish I had a great spot for you to go...but it is on our destination list too...
