Does anyone know if there are any sugar-free teething biscuits and/or finger snacks on the market for a nine-month old?

How about cheerios - they sell a good type in the health food store. Also I bought this net from a baby store in the mall you can put all sorts of things in it.. the baby sucks on it, you can put grapes, blueberries, melon pieces, carrots or just about anything. It strains the food so that the baby doesn't choke. I think Gerber now sellls this product too. It's almost like a pacifier - but instead of the nipple it has a net you fill with all types of food. The babies love it.. I just to put big pieces of corn on the cobb in it.. and the kids really enjoyed it.. and you can put anytype of healthy food. I even put tomatoes and cucumbers in it. I think the store is first step.. you can find it on line too... buy one.. you'll love it.

I came into the same problem when my daughter started teething. I couldn't find anything, so I used plain old melba toast. Worked like a charm and sugar/salt free! I also used the cascadian farms "o"s. Those were wonderful as well. There are other O brands without sugar, but the cascadian farms brand tends to soften up in their mouth a lot better than some.

My daughter's "cheerios" are called "Purely O's", made by Cascadian Farms Organic. They are made with 3 or 4 ingredients (and no sugar), and the texture is just like traditional cheerios, so they are great finger foods for babies learning to chew.

for a snack, you could do cut up fruit. also, cascadian farms organic "o" cereal has no sugar! it's like cheerios, but better for you! they sell them at wegmans. for more snack ideas, check out this great website:

i just gave my daughter various toys to suck on when teething, or her favorite was nursing to ease the pain.
also, there are homeopathic teething tablets and gel by hylands. the even sell it at cvs or walgreeens.
good luck!

I never really checked the labels, but freezing plain mini-bagels worked really well with my older boy. I haven't tried it with my baby yet but I think my older one was about 9 months when we started that. You could find some that have more natural products in them but they are definitely going to be healthier than some options.

try nature's best teething biscuits.
i don't know if they are sugar and salt free- but they are organic.

If I were you I would make them myself.

I would avoid sugar-free as most of the sugar is replaced with artifical sweetners. I'd rather my kids have regular sugar instead of the fake stuff. But have you thought of making your own. My daughter loves peaches or other fresh fruit. Cut it up and let him loose. My daughter gave up baby food at 9 mos. At that age she loved the gerber puffs.
