Success with ProActive or Anything Similar?
Since I quit breastfeeding my baby, I all the sudden have bumps all over my face and neck!! They are like little zits and are tempermental. I used to not be "religious" on my skin care, but since these have appeared I am faithfully cleaning and moisturizing my face 2 x's daily. Its not working. Has anyone used ProActive before and what was your experience? My skin is oily, but dry and sensitive...very combination!! When I was younger I had acne, but its been a LONG time since I have had this kind of break out and it won't go away! I have also considered maybe an allergic reaction, but to my knowledge I have not eaten anything new and my detergents are the same. Thanks for anything you can offer!

Hi there-
I use Noxema skin wipes to clean my face and it really seems to work. If I run out and go a few days without using then I start getting small break outs... so I know it is helping.

I've used ProActiv before but it over-dried my skin and bleached my washcloths and towels. I now use Zap It from Melaleuca and love it. Much less expensive than ProActiv too. You do need to have a Melaleuca membership to purchase (much like a Sam's or Costco membership, but they're an online store). Memberships are on sale for a dollar this month. If you're interested, I can set up your membership. My number is ###-###-####.

I use Melaleuca's Zap It! It is great and very affordable! To get started with Zap It I think it is $15 or so and then the three different parts run out some faster than others. About every three months or so. Each part is around $5. It is good, safe and natural.

Hi there. I used ProActive several years ago, and I really liked it. I also tried a brand from Walmart that said "compare to ProActive," it was called AcneFree. And, in my experience, it was very similar and just as effective, not to mention a LOT less expensive! I hope this helps! Have a great day!

I use proactive and love it. But, beware... it will bleach out your towels. I ended up buying a pack of inexpensive washcloths to use with it.

I use ProActive and I am an African-American woman. It is the best thing since women's liberation! It makes my skin look like a baby's bottom. The cleanser, the toner, and the replenishing lotion is amazing! I then use Oil of Olay moisturizer with SPF 15 sunscreen in it for sensitive skin. Hope you try it. You will be glad you did.

I have used proactive in the past with GREAT results!! My skin is now too dry for it, and I use Mary Kay.
The only thing you have to watch out for with proactive is that it will bleach clothes, towels, pillowcases, etc.
