Success with Clomid?
I was diagnosed today with PCOS, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and was wondering if anyone out there had success getting pregnant with clomid? and how many cycles did it take? Just looking for some info if anyone has any advice. Thanks!

I have been dealing with PCOS for 20 years. I was diagnosed when I was 14! I ahve a 27 month old son. After trying EVERYTHING....I would highly recommend that you check out The Creighton Model (NaPro Technology) on the internet. This is an amazing program that has a higher success rate in achieving pregnancy than Clomid does! This program really gets you in touch with exactly how PCOS can wreck havoc a your body and mind. Good luck!

I have two daughter's age 8 and almost 4. Both are clomid babies. We used it in conjunction with provera, as well as glucophage - but it is hard on your tummy!! Might I also suggest that you totally cut out carbs in your diet as well with your PCOS? IT has been a complete turn around for me! I went on the south beach diet essentially. I too have PCOS. Going on that diet brought back regular periods, which was foreign to me, I have lost weight and feel 100 times better. I'm pretty sure if we wanted a third it'd be no problem!

I have PCOS too. I have had 3 children without the use of anything, though we were going to go on Clomid for our second child, but after 4 yrs of trying I got frustrated and decided to quit trying and was going on the pill before I found out I was actually pregnant on my own. lol Have you tried Glyophage yet? Its a diabetic pill that seems to help PCOS women get pregnant. I was on the before my second one was conceived. If you need anyone to talk to about PCOS, feel free to write me. WebMD.com is a great resource on PCOS or any illness. Good Luck! I understand the frustrations involved with all this.
