My daughter get a stuffy nose from time to time and hates the nose drops so I use a Sudacare plug-in for children. It works great and she is able to breath much better.

Youre probably most likley dealing with Allergies, could be anything Hay fever, grass, ragweed, trees, or even something in the air in your house. Try getting one of them Ionic Breeze contraptions they work. But to keep your child comfortable, All you can do is give pedia care at the recomended dosage, and hope it clears up. My 8 year old at the time had the same problems and ended up on Claritan D everysummer, but finally grew out of it. Shes 13 now and usually only gets her stuff nose and watery eyes when she has a cold.
Good luck

if your daughter has allergies, the humidifier could be making things worse. my pediatrician also told me to use the humidifier for my littel boy but when i finally made an appointment with the allergist he said he tells all of his patients to get rid of it. he stated that it actually makes the air worse for someone with allergies because dust mites and mildew breed in the damp environment. i treat his symptoms at night with benadryl - just be sure to check with your doctor for the proper dosage.

Well my 2 year old has had a runny nose on and off her whole life. This time of year is the worst for her. We believe it is a seasonal allergy. Just keep track of it to see if certain times of the year bother her more. We do a saline spray morning and night. Try to watch for any other signs like coughing. That is when I would try a medicine or a call to the doctor. My Haley is on childrens Claritan when the nose starts to run. Her eyes get very watery too. I hope this helps you unfortunately there is not a whole to do but use the lotion tissues. Stuffy girls!!

My ped. suggested that using childrens Benadryl for stuffy nose and watery eyes is okay to do, but only at bedtime b/c of the drowsiness it causes. However, the Benadryl will need titrated to the dose for a 9 month old. the dose for that age is 1/4tsp. I used this method for my sick infant each time she got a cold.

My 13 month old daughter has had those symptoms since October. Her ped told me that unfortunately this is going to last the entire winter. My daughter goes through phases. One week she'll be terribly congested and the next you can hardly tell. I put saline drops in her nose and I run a humidifier with eucalyptus and peppermint oil in it to help her at night. Before I started doing this she would get up through the night. Now she stays commfy and sleeps all night. Hope this helps.

My first thought is teething. My 11 month old gets regular cold syptoms for a week to 10 days before a tooth pops through. Every thing clears up on its own within a day of the tooth coming in. Just a thought.

HI T.,

TRY SALINE DROPS, THEY HAVE IT OUT FOR INFANTS, IT CALLED LITTLE NOSES, THE SALINE DROPS HELP SHRINK THE MEMBRANES AND LET THE MUCUS FLOW, AFTER USING LIGHTLY USE THE NOSE SYRINGE TO DRAW OUT THE MUCUS. HOPE THIS HELPS.
