Stroller Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend an attractive looking stroller? Not a travel system, but the next step up. I currently use on of those Snap & Go frames to hold the car seat but I'll soon need the next step up. I like the clean simple lines of some of the higher end strollers but not so much the price tag (Uppababy, MiaModa, Bugaboo). I'd like something that is easy to maneuver & easy to close/open.

I have the BOB and love it. It is a good jogging stroller and a great to take to the mall, etc. Maneuvers very easily.

The Combi - I could not live without it. It's super easy and lightweight. Why have a bulky travel system when you can hold baby and get the stroller out (with one hand) and have it open and ready to go!

We bought two strollers after retiring the gargantuan travel system. We bought a jeep stroller that was easy to manuver, light weight, and had lots of compartments for stuff.
Then we bought an inexpensive umbrella stroller. We ended up using the umbrella stroller more often because it was more compact, and much lighter. We kept the umbrella one in the car.

I have a combi EX and love it! I did lots of research before getting it and Combi had great reviews and is so light weight! This is what mine looks like:

For a smaller stroller (i.e. close to umbrella sized, but nice), we really like our Peg Perego Pliko Lite. It doesn't take up much room in the back of the car and it's really nice for the money.

For a larger stroller, check out the bumbleride brand. They have several different styles and are similar looking to the Bugaboo, only a lot cheaper.

I love my Peg Perego P3(cost around $280.00). I have two children now so I have a double stroller, but will not give my Peg up for anything. Great storage room, lightweight and easy to fold. I would go and look at them I think they sell them at babiesrus.

I love the Jazz, by Zooper(Zopper?) Great for at the mall or a little off roading!

Depends how much time your little one will be spending in the stroller. We are on assignment in Tokyo and have been through 3 strollers looking for the right one. We initially brought our Graco but it turned out to be hopeless up and down stairs and escalators (which is a no no but there is no way around it in a big city). Our daughter loves this one for cruising the mall though. We then bought a MacLaren. MacLaren was great for portability etc but our little girl looked miserable and wouldn't nap. It is not a comfortable ride over uneven surfaces and there is no bar or snack tray. Then we found "the" stroller. It was super pricey but we LOVE it and so does our baby. The Stokke Xplory. She sits up high - so she isn't getting jostled about at everyone's knees in crowds. It manuevers like a dream. You can get up and down stairs easily because the front wheels fold in making it like a dolly. It faces forwards or backwards and it has tons of storage. She falls asleep and naps and when she does I can recline her back. When she's awake she can see much more around her - I can even push it up to a table at a restaurant. It is wide though and I can't get into alot of shops here with it - no big deal, I just plan around that. If you have a new born it also has a bassinett - that would have been great for us. So, if you are thinking about spending a house note on a stroller...lol check out the Stokke.

Try the Peg Perego Aria. It's super lightweight and folds really small.

My nieghbor has to comute and does a lot of walking. I had a travel system and togeather we looked for something smaller yet durable ( and affordable). We came with the Jeep stroller. It folds up realy small, but very durable, light weight and around 34-40.00. She bought hers from Walmart.com and even got it in a cute pink( there are lots of colors to choose fromm). Wal-mart sometimes offers free shipping ( sometimes), or you can just browse and go to the store.

Good luck
V.
