Stove Guard
Has anyone had problems with the Prince Lionheart stove gaurd? My dauther is almost 3 and I want to protect her from our gas stove burners. The problem is the sticky tapes keep melting off. I already called the company and got replacement tapes once. I don't know if I should return it or try it again. Has anyone had similar problems, solutions and a better product?
Thanks

I have the same one & have had to replace the sticky tabs. I didn't call the company, probably should have, but I just went out and got the 3M 2 sided heavy duty tape from Michael's & I haven't had any problems since. That was aobut 6 months ago.

When we had a gas stove, I just popped the handles off and put them away in a baggie. Without the plastic handles, my daughter couldn't turn them, but I could. Worked great!

Just an idea... I don't know about the Lionheart stove guard, however, I do have a gas stove and we just take the knobs off (ours are removable) and put them in a place where the child can't reach them, then we use them only when we turn the gas on and off, we take the knob off when we're done. Just an easy idea if you have removable knobs on your stove that are used to turn the gas on and off...

Just take the knobs off the stove and put them on when you need them.

Hi, I'm C. and I have a 4 year old boy, Spencer. I used the same stove guard and it worked well for me. I did remove the guard occasionally to clean underneath. I used the "3m" brand tapes to adhear it back on. I sure wish I had a solution for you, maybe the guard could be placed a bit lower to prevent melting. Please let me know of your solution and best wishes.
