Storing Kids Breakable Art Projects

Where do you store breakable art projects your children have made for you? I will not ever throw them away unless they break. My room is overflowing with them and I have a few in my hutch and curio cabinet as well but don't put them all in one spot.

What can I do next?

at some point, you need to declutter. Have a family auction & let everybody pay for them with MMs!

Wrap them up & give them for Mother's/Father's Day.

Donate them to a local nursing home!

But, please, whatever you do....please keep it to a reasonable # at home. What will you do with them after you put them in a storage tub? :)

Take a picture and start an album that show-cases your child's art. I don't save anything (well, very few things). I'm the complete opposite of a pack-rat, but I do want to remember the special things my children have done/written/created through the years. Taking pictures of their work allows me to keep my home clutter-free and organized, but also lets me honor their creations.

I have a dedicated shelf on our bookcase in our bedroom where I have all that stuff the kids made. I only keep the really "good" ones. Good luck.

You could purchase a rubbermaid buckets and bubble paper and strofoam peanuts.. Just be sure to date them..

OR we give them to grandparents for Mothers day, fathers day, Christmas gifts.. Hee, hee..

Our problem right now? Our daughter is graduating from college next month.. one of her degrees is "Studio Art".. Yes, sculpture, welding, carving.. She is over 2000 miles away, and we are going to have to ship it all back here.. in a house that is not even 1000 sq feet.

I could have killed her Professor this fall when he told her she "needs to start making LARGER pieces for her senior art show!!!!"
