Stomach Skin Peeling After C-section

I just noticed my stomach skin is peeling after 8wks from giving birth by C-section. Has anyone else experienced this? I couldnt find anything on this. Could it be from losing the baby weight? It's like sun burn peeling. I thought maybe it's from being stretched and now it's going back, but I couldnt find anything online that referenced skin peeling on stomach.

Stopped by the dr today and asked if it was common, the nurse said it was

Are you meaning dry skin? If so, that can happen. My skin seems to do that after my babies (even my non-csection babies). Lotion helps. Hope it clears up soon! I wonder if it's something that happens from being stretched.

What do you mean by peeling? Like a sunburn peeling or do you mean the glue peeling off? I did not experience any sunburn type peeling but the glue peeled off by itself.

mine did that too, just over the incision. Not so much like a scab, but more like sunbruned skin that peals.

I had it over the incision, but that was it. Other then that, I have no idea. I would call the nurse at your OBGYN and ask her.
