maybe an ulcer? i'd get it checked out...good luck

Glad to see you're getting things checked out. My first real symptom (that I remember) was a full out gallbladder attack when the family was at the racetrack 2 years ago. We had to walk over half a mile to get back to the car to leave, while in full out "attack" mode. Trust me, it wasn't easy. It's good that you are getting it looked at so you hopefully don't have to go through it. I had my gallbladder removed and while I have dealt with some phantom pains, it's so much better than it was that day. Good luck & I hope everything works out for you!

I would go see a doctor for sure. I recently had extremely bad stomach pains that would come in waves (almost like contractions) and it moved from my stomach to my right side and ended up to a bad pain in my lower right side of my back (almost near my hip bone). I finally made myself go to the doctor and turned out I had an extremely bad kidney infection (had no other symptoms that would have made me think a kidney or bladder infection) other than the pain moving from place to place. So I would get to a doctor as soon as you can. When I first was going over my symptoms with my doctor, he suggested it was IBS (irritable bowel), but after running some tests, it turned out to be kidney infection. Good luck and hope for no more tummy trouble for you!!

Sounds like your gallbladder... I waited until I had to have emergency surgery . So don't wait. Better to be safe than sorry because they really do hurt.

Do you notice more pain after eating fatty meals? Your gallbladder is in the area you are describing. It's not uncommon to get pain in this area if you have stones or sludge in your gallbladder (although most people don't necessarily have any symptoms). I would go see your doctor (not trying to frighten you). If it ends up being nothing at least you're reassured. Good luck!

Have your doctor check for gal stones.

You do need to go to the doctor. Please have your gallbladder checked. I suffered for years with pain in my right side, in the exact same place that you described. Then the pains moved to the "bread basket" where it felf like someone was stabbing me with a knife. The pain went all the way through to my back, between my shoulder blades. The only thing that releived the pain was when I made my self throw up.

It feels more or less like a REAL BAD GAS ATTACK or INDIGESTION.

Finally, I went to my doctor. I had over 65 gallstones of which the smallest one was the size of a nickle.

Eating dairy and drinking milk WILL make it worse and bring on an attack. Stress will also make it act up.

yeah...I was going to say gallbladder, too...then saw that your dr. said that, too. My DH had the same thing...only with pain he felt like he had to puke all the time...nothing he ate sat right with him. He had to have his GB out two years ago...has been much better since, but has to be careful with what he eats because the GB is responsible for helping digest fatty foods...

Best of luck!
