Stinky Feet - Plano,TX

I must have inherited my stinky feet from my dad (he could clear the room). :( I wear a lot of open toed shoes, and I do have spray-on deodorant that I will put on my feet and in my shoes. But, if I can still notice it, OMG - do other people - like coworkers??? I've been having physical therapy on my foot (recovering from several fractures - poor doctor getting up close and personal) and will use antibacterial rub, but that, like the spray, just masks the stinky feet! I don't get overly sweaty (because I think Botox helps with that), but I also don't want to just mask the odor. I have a good diet (as in I'm not eating garlic cloves and so forth). My poor 5 year old I fear carries this stinky feet gene as well.

This is going to sound weird, but you might try soaking them in a vinegar solution.

Is it your shoes?
Man-made materials in shoes will make even non-stinky feet verrrrry stinky!
Also, once the shoes themselves are stinky--forget it--pitch them.

I'm right there with you. My dad has horrid smelling feet, and no matter how clean or powder fresh they stink. Hubby always tells me how bad they smell. Usually I wear socks and when I go to someones house where I wear flip flops I take socks just in case.

My daughter gets bad foot odor. When this happens, we soak her feet in vinegar, scrub with soap really well, and rub athletes foot cream all over her feet- especially in between her toes. That knocks it out for months. I used to get stinky feet, but it seems to have stopped on its own as I got older, so I wonder if some of it is hormone related. I also wear croc sandals alot and they are antibacterial so no odor.

I also saw Dr. Oz say soak them in tea. The girl that he treated said it made a massive difference for her.

I noticed it isn't my feet, it is the actual shoes. I make sure to not wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Also, mid-day I will wipe out the insides of the shoes and my feet with alcohol wipes. It is horribly embarrassing.

I appreciate the other responses about man-made materials being the issue. I had just gotten in the habit of buying cheaper shoes so I wouldn't feel too bad about throwing them away.

Vinegar! White or apple cider, whichever you prefer. I was diluting about 1/4 cup in a gallon of warm water for my husband to soak his stinky feet in. Not only did it rid of his athletes foot, his feet don't smell! When they start getting stinky again, he soaks them in the foot bath for about 15 minutes a day. Works like a charm (:

Try leaving the shoes overnight with newspaper in them or get overeater that fit inside the shoes. They will absorb the ordor. Years ago I went to a skin doctor and he had me to put this foot cream on at night and then cover my feet in platic wrap.I would wake up in the morning with alot of liquid. My feet glands had empty out during the night. He had me to wear only white socks and since then I have not had any smelly feet. I don't wear sandles because they will make my feet sweat and man-made shoes are bad ,too.I don't know if they still use this procedture or not. I have heard the tea works, Too. Good Luck
